A visually striking and extremely functional centre
This project originated to address the lack of appropriate facilities available for visiting medical staff to operate from as well as provide appropriate library facilities to service the isolated and aging population of Iluka and the nearby villages of Woombah and Woody Head.
Considerable consultation with all the relevant groups ensured the achievement of a common community goal and the end result is a visually striking and extremely functional centre.

Merit Certificate at the MBA Excellence in Construction Awards 2000
The facility comprises a public library, open access area, reception, three treatment rooms, a consulting room, patient waiting room and child play area, a group and meeting room, kitchen as well as incorporating staff, disabled and general public facilities and car parking areas.
The building is very much a multifunctional centre and is a focal point of the community and a landmark in the coastal village of Iluka.
