Clarence Valley Anglican School Performance Centre Project Celebrates Soil Turning
Construction has started on Bennett’s latest project, Clarence Valley Anglican School’s 300-seat performance space, a $2.7m project a large portion funded by an anonymous donor.
The project is a Performance Centre for Clarence Valley Anglican School designed by Raunik Design Group. Works include an architecturally designed building with landscaping and the provision for future carpark. The forecourt and terrace lead into the foyer and the main stage that includes a green room, amenities, back of house storage and seating for 360 people. The space also includes operable walls allowing the space to be broken into an optional art gallery and music room. An additional sunken stage with seating for 50 people, a tiered lecture theatre, undercroft storage that supports the performance area.
The Centre’s acoustics are a feature of the design, as well as the additional teaching-learning spaces for music and drama, as well as supporting amenities to complete the performance centre. The façade features a combination of FC and Colorbond cladding with foundation brick and blockwork, which are complemented by detailed soft and hard landscaping.
The Bennett project team is well into the project and the business looks forward to working closely with the clients on bringing a new key landmark for the Lismore region.
